Man Dies after Pedestrian Crash on 10 Freeway in Pomona
1 Killed in Pomona Pedestrian Accident on 10 Freeway near Kellogg Drive
Pomona, California (April 12, 2020) – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday night in Pomona, according to police.
The deadly accident happened at about 11:25 p.m., on April 11, on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway, west of Kellogg Drive.
A 2017 Honda Accord was stopped within Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the westbound freeway after its front left tire went flat. A 2018 Honda Civic that was following the 2017 Honda rear-ended it.
The Honda Civic then struck the man who had alighted and was standing in the No. 3 lane near his car.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
