Robert Sawaya Killed in Car Accident on 10 Freeway near Monroe Street in Coachella
Coachella, California (September 9, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a man who was killed in a car accident in Coachella on Saturday afternoon.
According to a local news source, the accident happened shortly before 3 p.m. September 7, on Interstate 10 Freeway near Monroe Street.
As per the report, 61-year-old Robert Sawaya was driving a black SUV eastbound on the roadway when it collided with a Ford Focus occupied by a 20-yer-old woman and a23-year-old woman.
The impact of the collision caused the SUV to overturn on the right-hand shoulder.
Sawaya was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to a local hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
No other person was injured in the collision.
An investigation into the deadly collision is ongoing.
