Motorcyclist Injured in Traffic Accident on Road 274 in North Fork

Max Thurtle Seriously Injured in North Fork Motorcycle Crash on Road 274 near Road 225

North Fork, California (August 24, 2019) – According to a local news source, a motorcyclist sustained major injuries in a traffic accident that happened at about 5:15 p.m. August 22, on Road 274 near Road 225 in North Fork.

Ad per the report, the motorcyclist, Max Thurtle, 41, of North Fork, was driving a 2004 Yamaha YZF-600R motorcycle southbound on Road 274 when for an unknown reason, he collided with a 2001 Jeep Wrangler that was attempting to make a U-turn.

Thurtle was ejected from the bike upon the impact. He was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.

Cameron Altimus, 21, of Oakhurst, who was the driver of the Jeep, was uninjured.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
