Yaneth Valladares Killed in Workplace Accident in Sanger

Yaneth Valladares ID’d as Worker Killed in Sanger Industrial Accident at Del Rey Packing Company on Indianola Avenue

Sanger, California (January 25, 2020) – Authorities have identified the worker who was killed when her clothes got snagged on a machine at a raisin packing facility in Sanger Friday morning.

Yaneth Lopez Valladares, 33, died in the incident that occurred at the Del Rey Packing Company on Indianola Avenue on Friday, January 24.

Authorities said Valladares was working on a Stem Grading Line when her clothing got caught and pulled inside the heavy machinery. That caused Valladares to strike her head.

Valladares was declared dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health.
