San Mateo, California (January 20, 2020) – A female party was killed in a pedestrian accident that took place in San Mateo on Sunday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash occurred at about 1:44 a.m. on Highway 101 at the State Highway 92 connector.
The accident began when a Dodge Charger struck a Toyota Yaris driven by a female party for unknown reasons. The woman then got out of her car and was hit by a Toyota Camry.
Officials declared the woman dead at the scene.
Police arrested both the drivers of the Charger and the Camry on suspicion of DUI.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
