1 Killed, 2 Injured After Car Crashes Into Home at Georgetown Drive and Coloma Road in Rancho Cordova

Grandmother Killed, 2 Injured in Rancho Cordova Car Accident at Georgetown Drive and Coloma Road

Rancho Cordova, California (January 19, 2020) – According to a local news source, a woman was killed and two other people were injured Sunday evening after a vehicle crashed into a home in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County.

The fatal accident took place at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, January 19 on the corner of Georgetown Drive and Coloma Road.

As per the report, a grandmother, her son and his wife, were watching a football game when a Kia Optima came crashing through their home.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and pulled two people who were trapped under the vehicle. Firefighters had to cut a hole into the other side of the living room to rescue everybody.

The grandmother was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The son and his wife were injured, but are expected to survive.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
