Honda Accord and Chevrolet SUV Involved in Minor Injury Wasco Crash on Highway 43
Wasco, California (April 1, 2020) – One person was hurt in an alleged hit-and-run traffic collision that took place near Pond Union School District in Wasco late Tuesday night.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, a black Honda Accord and a gray Chevrolet SUV collided on Highway 43, just south of Pond Road shortly before 10:00 p.m.
The manner in which the collision occurred was not immediately disclosed at the time of the report.
One person suffered minor injuries in the crash. The victim was attended to by medical personnel along with Fire department officials who responded to the scene shortly after the wreck.
The identity and the current condition of the patient have not yet been released to this time. It was not mentioned whether or not the victim was transported to the hospital for further aid.
Officials said an occupant of one of the involved vehicles fled the scene after the mishap.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
