Minor Injuries Sustained in Milpitas Car Accident on 880 Freeway near Dixon Landing Road

Milpitas, California (April 1, 2020) – Authorities responded to a report of a minor injury crash that happened on Tuesday night in the area of Milpitas.

According to the CHP report, the collision happened at around 8:42 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, on southbound 880 Freeway, just north of Dixon Landing Road.

Officials said two trucks crashed for reasons still under investigation. One of the trucks overturned following the crash.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The total number of patients and their current condition was not immediately released.

Officials mentioned that the crash was blocking multiple lanes due to the collision. All lanes were expected to be re-opened by 10:39 p.m.

Construction debris was scattered in the lanes following the crash.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

No other information regarding this crash was provided.

An investigation is underway.
