Teesha McCarley Hit, Killed by Vehicle near Highway 273 and Alexander Avenue in Anderson

Coroner Identify Woman Killed in Anderson Pedestrian Accident near Highway 273 and Alexander Avenue as Teesha McCarley

Anderson, California (April 1, 2020) – The woman who died after she was struck by a vehicle last week Monday in Anderson has been identified as Teesha Lorae McCarley, 45, of Corning.

McCarley was near the intersection of Highway 273 and Alexander Avenue when a vehicle hit her at about 3:00 a.m. Monday, March 23.

McCarley died in the accident.

The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said.

An investigation into the accident is underway.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
