Vitaliy Lesnikov Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Watt Avenue near Karl Drive in North Highlands

Vitaliy Lesnikov Fatal North Highlands Accident on Watt Avenue near Karl Drive

North Highlands, California (February 14, 2020) – Authorities have identified a motorcyclist killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Tuesday at around 8:00 p.m. in North Highlands, police said.

28-year-old Vitaliy Lesnikov of North Highlands was riding a motorcycle at a relatively high rate of speed when he struck the rear of a car.

The collision took place on February 11, along the southbound Watt Avenue near Karl Drive, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

The California Highway Patrol said Lesnikov was then ejected from his motorcycle into the roadway.

Lesnikov suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at around 8:16 p.m.

No other details of the crash were immediately released.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
