Victim Killed in Lincoln Truck Accident on Highway 65 near Nelson Lane ID’d as Thomas Kerns

34-Year-Old Thomas Kerns ID’d as Driver Killed in Lincoln Truck Accident

Lincoln, California (January 11, 2020) – The Placer County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the male victim who was killed in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck in Lincoln last Friday at about 1:16 p.m.

The collision took place on January 3, along Highway 65 near Nelson Lane.

A silver Nissan Altima driven by 34-year-old Thomas Kerns of Grass Valley, south on the Highway, failed to stop for a red light and crashed into the back of the semi-tractor trailer truck that was hauling dirt.

According to a California Highway Patrol, Kerns died in the accident.

More details regarding the wreck will be released immediately after the CHP completes the investigation.
