Hossein Fallah Killed in Rialto Pedestrian Accident at Riverside and Etiwanda avenues
Upland Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle at Riverside and Etiwanda avenues in Rialto ID’d as Hossein Fallah
Rialto, California (January 11, 2020) – 75-year-old Hossein Fallah of Upland has been identified as the victim killed in a pedestrian collision in Rialto on Thursday evening, according to the Rialto Police Department.
The fatal crash occurred at around 5:55 p.m. in the area of Riverside and Etiwanda avenues.
The accident began when Fallah parked his pickup truck in the center lane in the 900 block of Riverside Avenue and walked into the lane. Fallah was then struck by a black Honda Civic driven by a male party on the Avenue in the furthest left lane.
The initial report showed that the Honda Civic turned to the left to avoid the collision, but its driver lost control and crashed into a tree.
Fallah was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Honda driver was rushed to a local trauma center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under an active investigation.
