Tigran Garabedyan Dies after Plane Crash at Ralph Dunlap Elementary School in Orcutt

Tigran Garabedyan Identified as Pilot Killed in Orcutt Plane Crash at Ralph Dunlap Elementary School

Orcutt, California (May 22, 2020) – Tigran Garabedyan, 38, of Burbank, has been identified as the pilot who was killed in a plane crash on Wednesday morning in Orcutt, according to authorities.

The crash happened at about 10:45 a.m., on May 20, at Ralph Dunlap Elementary School, which is located in the 1220 block of Oak Knoll Road.

At about 9:45 a.m., a Cirrus SR20 single-engine plane departed Van Nuys Airport and was en route to the Santa Maria Public Airport. For reasons still under investigation, the aircraft crashed into the school’s basketball courts and burst into flames, said the police.

The plane, which is reportedly registered in Newport Beach, was approaching the airport when it crashed.

Garabedyan, the pilot, died as a result of the accident.

An investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board into the accident is ongoing.

Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group, Mr. Arin Khodaverdian believes that plane accident claims are rarely straightforward regardless of the circumstances involved. “Liable insurance companies will often do everything possible to limit their out-of-pocket expenses by either devaluing or outright denying your claim and it is crucial, therefore, to have an experienced attorney on your side,” He said.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.

Mr. Khodaverdian is personally available for free consultations 24/7 by calling 866-773-0222
