Man Killed in Tehachapi Pedestrian Accident at Tehachapi Boulevard and Highway 58

Tehachapi, California (May 22, 2020) – A male party was struck and killed by a vehicle at the intersection of Tehachapi Boulevard and Highway 58 in Tehachapi at around 7:23 p.m. on May 19.

According to a local news source, the pedestrian was struck by an eastbound car while walking north on Tehachapi Boulevard in a marked crosswalk Tuesday night.

The initial report indicated that the involved motorist failed to yield to a red light at the intersection prior to the collision.

The unidentified man sustained major injuries following the wreck. He died at Adventist Health Tehachapi while undergoing treatment.

The operator of the involved vehicle remained at the scene after hitting the deceased and cooperated with the law.
