8 Injured in Cuyama Valley Car Accident on Highway 166 and Highway 33

Cuyama Valley, California (December 26, 2019) – Eight people were injured in a traffic accident involving three vehicles on Highway 166 in the Cuyama Valley Thursday morning, a local news source reported.

The multi-car crash, which was reported shortly before noon, happened near Highway 166 and Highway 33.

Authorities said the collision involved a pickup, a silver sedan and a motor home.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated people who were trapped in the wreckage. Three people sustained moderate injuries and five others had minor injuries.

Authorities said three patients were transported by land ambulance to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria.  The names and conditions of the injured parties at this time remains unknown.

The accident remains under investigation.
