Roy Hernandez Struck, Killed by Vehicle on West Lodi Avenue in Lodi
Lodi, California (February 3, 2020) – The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian who died after being hit by a vehicle Sunday evening in Lodi as Roy Hernandez, 59, of Lodi.
The fatal pedestrian crash happened in the 800 block of West Lodi Avenue at around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, February 2.
Hernandez was hit by a vehicle on West Lodi Avenue.
Paramedics responded to the scene and performed CPR on Hernandez. Despite life-saving measures, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police. It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
The road in the area was shut down as the police investigated the crash.
No other details about the accident were given.
