Possible Injuries Sustained in El Cajon Crash Involving U.S. Border Patrol Car on I-8 Freeway  

El Cajon Car Accident on Interstate 8 Freeway near Greenfield Drive Off-Ramp Possibly Resulted in Unspecified Injuries 

El Cajon, California (January 1, 2020) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, El Cajon two-vehicle collision that happened on Tuesday morning possibly resulted in injuries.

The accident involving a Patrol car happened at approximately 8:35 a.m. on the westbound Interstate 8 Freeway near the Greenfield Drive off-ramp.

The accident began when a U.S. Border Patrol car traveling on the westbound Interstate 8 Freeway crashed into the center divider and then collided with a Swift semi-tractor trailer truck.

Officials said the Patrol car lost control due to a flat tire at the time of the collision.

Those who might have injured following the wreck were attended to by paramedics.

The CHP is still investigating to identify the cause of the crash.
