Man Killed in Perris Pedestrian Accident on Highway 74 at River Road

Perris, California (December 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday evening in Perris, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal pedestrian crash happened at about 7:06 p.m. Friday, December 13 on Highway 74 at River Road.

A witness told the authorities that a man had just got off an RTA bus and ran to the center divider. He waved his hands to get vehicles to see him and then attempted to run across to the other side and was struck by a Hyundai

The man, whose name was withheld pending family notification, died in the accident.

The Hyundai driver stopped at the scene.

Further details regarding the crash were not immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation.
