Perris Pedestrian Crash on Highway 74 at River Road Friday Night

Perris, California (December 14, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that happened Friday night in Perris.

The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred at around 7:06 p.m. on Highway 74 at River Road.

A witness of the crash called authorities saying that a pedestrian got off a bus and ran to the center divide. The male pedestrian was waving his hands to get vehicles to see him, then attempted to run across to the other side and was struck by a car.

Details about the car and the driver involved were not mentioned.

The accident is under an active investigation by CHP.
