1 Hospitalized after Kearny Mesa Crash on State Route 52 near Convoy Street

San Diego, California (December 14, 2019) – A person was hospitalized Friday morning after a traffic crash on Route 52 in Kearny Mesa, authorities said.

The wreck, which was reported at about 11:15 a.m. Friday, December 13, happened on westbound State Route 52 near Convoy Street.

Details of what led up to the crash are unknown at this time. But authorities said one person was pinned inside one of the involved vehicles and had to be freed by emergency crews.

The victim was then taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.

The right lane of westbound SR 52 was shut down while the investigation and cleanup took place.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
