Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on 710 Freeway in Bell Gardens

Person Killed in Bell Gardens Pedestrian Accident on 710 Freeway near Florence and Firestone Avenues Tuesday morning

Bell Gardens, California (May 6, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning in the Bell Gardens area, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash took place at about 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, on the southbound 710 Freeway between the exits for Florence and Firestone avenues.

As per the report, the pedestrian struck by a vehicle while running on the right side of the southbound 710 Freeway.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the pedestrian down in the number 3 lane of the freeway.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

Authorities closed three southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway following the crash.

Meanwhile, it remains unknown whether or not the driver involved remained at or left the scene as those details were not declared in the report.

The accident remains under investigation.
