Man and Woman Killed in Wilmington Motorcycle, Pedestrian Crash on 110 Freeway near Pacific Coast Highway
Wilmington, California (May 5, 2020) – Two people were killed in a Tuesday afternoon traffic collision in Wilmington, police said.
As per the police logs, the crash transpired at around 1:20 p.m. on 110 Freeway, just south of Pacific Coast Highway.
The police said a 67-year-old San Pedro man was riding a motorcycle on the freeway when he struck a 27-year-old woman.
The woman was reportedly walking westbound from the right shoulder of the northbound lanes of the highway between the far left lane and the second lane from the left when she was hit.
Both the female pedestrian and the rider were pronounced dead.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
