4 Die after Escondido Pedestrian Accident on San Pasqual Valley Road
Escondido, California (May 6, 2020) – Four people were killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Tuesday night in Escondido, according to police.
At about 8:30 p.m., on May 5, the officials responded to the fatal crash in the 495 block of San Pasqual Valley Road.
According to the authorities, four people were struck by a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old Escondido woman. The manner at which the crash occurred is yet to be known.
The pedestrians were described as an adult male, an adult female, and two male juveniles. It was not clear if they were in a crosswalk at the time.
Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The other two were transported to taken to Palomar Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle involved was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
