72- Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident at 13th and Santa Clara Streets in San Jose
San Jose, California (December 11, 2019) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a pedestrian accident that resulted in the death of an elderly man in San Jose late last month on Wednesday morning.
The deadly collision, which happened shortly after 8:00 a.m. on November 27, occurred at the intersection of North 13th and East Santa Clara streets.
Policed said a 72-year-old male pedestrian was walking at the intersection when he was hit by a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado turning from northbound 13th Street onto westbound Santa Clara Street for undisclosed reasons.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital by paramedics for treatment of major injuries sustained in the crash.
The unidentified patient was pronounced dead after two days.
Details regarding the involved driver were not disclosed.
The crash remains under an active investigation.
