Pedestrian Killed in Fresno Crash on North Weber and West Princeton Avenues

32-Year-Old Man Dies Following Fatal Pedestrian Accident on North Weber and West Princeton Avenues in Fresno

Fresno, California (March 19, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning in a crash at an intersection in central Fresno, authorities said.

Officers received a call about the accident shortly before 4:00 a.m. at the intersection of North Weber and West Princeton avenues.

Police said a pickup truck hit a 32-year-old man while he was walking at the intersection.

The man, whose name has not been disclosed pending family notification, was killed in the accident.

The male driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor on his side.

The accident remains under investigation.

A person on foot is no match for a large, multi-ton vehicle. Pedestrians have virtually no protection when they are hit by cars, motorcycles, trucks, and other vehicles. Sadly, this often leads to catastrophic injuries and/or death.
