Newhall Pedestrian Accident at Main and Market Streets Sent 1 to Hospital

Newhall, California (January 11, 2020) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a pedestrian accident that happened in the Newhall community at about 1:15 p.m. Friday.

According to a local news source, the pedestrian collision occurred on January 10, at the intersection of Main and Market streets.

As per the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle of unspecified built at the intersection for undisclosed reasons.

The victim was attended to by paramedics along with the firefighters and then transported to the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, the identity and the current condition of the patient have not yet been disclosed.

It was not clear whether or not the operator of the involved vehicle stopped after the accident and cooperated with the law.

The wreck resulted in the closure of Main Street near Market Street for an unknown time.

The accident remains under an active investigation.
