Man Dies Following Fatal Sunnyvale Pedestrian Accident on North Fair Oaks Avenue near South Eden Avenue

Sunnyvale, California (January 14, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Monday night in Sunnyvale, authorities said.

The deadly accident occurred at about 7:43 p.m. Monday, January 13 on North Fair Oaks Avenue near South Eden Avenue.

According to the authorities, a vehicle was traveling on North Fair Oaks Avenue when for an unknown reason, it struck a man who was walking in the area.

The man, whose name has not been disclosed pending family notification, died in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Police said the driver did not appear to be under the influence at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
