Man Hospitalized after Modesto Pedestrian Accident on Coffee Road near Ensenada Drive

Modesto, California (January 12, 2020) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Saturday evening in Modesto, authorities said.

At around 6:51 p.m. Saturday, January 11, the officers received a report about the accident on Coffee Road near Ensenada Drive.

According to the authorities, the male pedestrian walked into the roadway from the west side of Coffee, across from Ensenada Drive when he was struck by a vehicle that was heading southbound in the right lane on Coffee.

The pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries. The name and condition of the victim at this time were not disclosed.

The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities said the driver did not appear impaired at the time of the accident.

Police closed both southbound lanes of Coffee while they investigated the accident.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
