Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Waterman Boulevard in Fairfield

30-Year-Old Man Killed in Fairfield Motorcycle Accident on Waterman Boulevard at Interstate 80

Fairfield, California (January 20, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening in a traffic accident in Fairfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash took place at around 4:30 p.m.  Sunday, January 19 on Waterman Boulevard at Interstate Highway 80.

The CHP said a 30-year-old man was riding a motorcycle through the intersection when for an unknown reason, he was hit by an SUV.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the motorcyclist laying down on the roadway. He was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.

The driver of the SUV, a 63-year-old Fairfield man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The accident remains under investigation.
