3 Hurt in Bakersfield Truck Crash on 5 Freeway at Highway 166

Bakersfield, California (December 10, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a minor injury semi-truck crash that happened on Tuesday morning in Bakersfield.

The collision occurred at about 5:49 a.m. Tuesday, on northbound 5 Freeway at Highway 166.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig rear-ended a white Ford pickup truck for reasons still under investigation.

Responding emergency crews rendered aid to three parties who complained of pain due to the collision. The names of the wounded persons and their current condition were not immediately provided.

The vehicles were towed away from the scene.

Construction equipment debris was scattered in the lanes as a result of the accident.
