Man Killed in Turlock Pedestrian Crash at West Canal Drive and North Front Street
Turlock, California (April 15, 2020) – A male pedestrian died after he was hit by a train at an intersection in Turlock Monday afternoon, according to a local news report.
At about 2:30 p.m. April 13, emergency personnel responded to the intersection of W. Canal Drive and N. Front Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a train.
A witness told the authorities that the man was at the intersection when he purposely walked into the path of an oncoming train that hit him.
The man, whose name was withheld pending notification of family, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided, and the accident remains under investigation.
