Person Hit, Killed by Truck on North Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs

Person Killed in Palm Springs Pedestrian Accident on North Gene Autry Trail and East Vista Chino Drive

Palm Springs, California (April 15, 2020) – One person was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident on Tuesday afternoon in Palm Springs, according to police.

The fatal crash occurred near North Gene Autry Trail and East Vista Chino Drive, at about 4:05 p.m., on April 14.

The police said a pedestrian was struck on the roadway by a truck. The factors that contributed to the crash were yet to be known.

Following the accident, the pedestrian was declared dead at the scene.

Due to the collision, the roadway between East Vista Chino Drive and East Via Escuela Drive was closed for an unspecified period.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
