Man Critically Injured in South LA Multi-Vehicle Collision

Man Hospitalized after 110 Freeway Crash Involving Postal Truck in South Los Angeles

South Los Angeles, California (January 28, 2020) – A man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was involved in a multi-vehicle accident that happened Monday night in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

A big rig postal truck and two other passenger vehicles were involved in the crash that happened on southbound 110 Freeway near 37th and Flower streets.

LAFD officials responded to the scene at about 8:31 p.m. to find a man of approximately 50 years unconscious and trapped inside the truck near 37th and Flower streets.

Firefighters extricated the victim and rushed him to a local trauma center. He was listed in critical condition.

Authorities said the two passenger cars remained on the freeway with crash damage. There were no injuries reported in those cars.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
