Jamie Narkunski ID’d Man Killed in Sonoma Car Accident at Eighth Street and East Napa Road
Sonoma, California (January 28, 2020) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed Sunday afternoon in an alleged DUI crash in Sonoma as Jamie Narkunski, 35, of Sausalito.
The deadly crash took place at around 12:20 p.m. Sunday, January 26 at the intersection of 8th Street and East Napa Road.
Authorities said Adulhadi Awad, 36, of Vallejo, was driving a gray 2008 BMW southbound on 8th Street when he allegedly failed to stop at a red light and slammed into the side of a 2013 Subaru driven by Narkunski.
Narkunski died in the crash. Natalie Weiss, 34, who was riding as a passenger in Narkunski’s vehicle, was airlifted to Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
Awad was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa for treatment of unspecified injuries. He will be booked into jail once he is discharged from the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
