Louis Santana Identified as Pedestrian who was Fatally Hit by SUV on Palmdale Road in Victorville

Victorville, California (January 27, 2020) – 37-year-old Louis Santana was the pedestrian who was fatally struck by an SUV Friday evening on Palmdale Road in Victorville, authorities said.

According to authorities, the Riverside man was attempting to go south across Palmdale Road when he was struck by an eastbound Chevrolet Tahoe.

The accident happened at about 6:49 p.m.

The victim was wearing all dark clothing at the time of the accident.

Medical personnel with the American Medical Response (AMR) were driving by and witnessed the collision. They stopped and transported Santana to a local hospital while performing life-saving measures. Unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver involved stopped after the crash and cooperated with investigators.
