Koua Xiong ID’d as One of Four Killed in Fresno Head-On Crash on Millerton Road near Bellaggio Road

Fresno, California (March 15, 2020) – One of the four people who were killed early Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash near Millerton Lake in Fresno County has been identified as Koua Vang Xiong, 54, of Fresno.

At about 2:00 a.m. on March 13, officers responded to the scene of a deadly motor vehicle accident on Millerton Road, just south of Bellagio Road.

Authorities said a 1995 Nissan pickup truck was heading northbound on Millerton Road when it drifted into the southbound lane, where it collided head-on with a 1998 Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Nissan was declared dead at the scene. Xiong and two other female passengers in the back seat of Toyota were also pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center. His right front male passenger was taken by ground ambulance to CRMC with major injuries.

All parties involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred. Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the accident.
