John Delgado ID’d 1 of 2 Injured in Dos Palos Truck Accident at Highway 152 and Flanagan Road

Dos Palos, California (January 27, 2020) – Authorities have identified one of the two people who were injured Friday morning in a traffic accident in Dos Palos as John Delgado, 48, of Merced.

The crash happened at around 8:00 a.m. Friday, January 24 at the intersection of Highway 152 and Flanagan Road.

Authorities said Delgado was driving a 2003 Kenworth truck southbound on Flanagan Road and was trying to cross Highway 152 when for an unknown reason, the Kenworth collided with an eastbound 2019 Freightliner.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the driver of the Freightliner from the wreckage. The victim was then taken to a hospital in Modesto with major injuries.

Delgado suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
