Janeva Thorbrogger ID’d as Person Injured in Valley Springs Car Crash on Highway 12 near Double Springs Road

Valley Springs, California (March 25, 2020) – Janeva Thorbrogger, 30, of Valley Springs, has been identified as the driver who was seriously injured on Wednesday morning in Valley Springs, Calaveras County, according to the CHP.

The crash happened at about 11:15 a.m., on Highway 12, near Double Springs Road.

The police said a vehicle was traveling on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, it veered into the north shoulder of Highway 12. The driver then overcorrected and eventually went into the path of an oncoming car, driven by Thorbrogger. The two vehicles collided head-on on the roadway.

Thorbrogger was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries.

Two children, ages 10 and 3 years, who were in the Thorbrogger’s vehicle, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Memorial Medical Center for treatment.

The other driver was also taken to Memorial Medical Center with minor injuries.

Drugs or alcohol were not believed to have contributed to the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
