David Alexander Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 12 in Valley Springs
David Alexander Hospitalized after Valley Springs Car Accident on Highway 12 near Double Springs Road
Valley Springs, California (March 26, 2020) – The person who was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning in Valley Springs has been identified as David Alexander, 79, of Mokelumne Hill, according to the CHP.
The crash occurred on Highway 12, near Double Springs Road, at about 11:15 a.m.
Alexander was driving his car on the road when he drifted into the northbound shoulder of Highway 12. He overcorrected and ended up colliding head-on with an oncoming vehicle on the roadway.
Alexander sustained minor injuries and was transported to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment.
The woman was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto with major injuries. Her two juvenile passengers, aged 10 and 3, were taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with minor injuries.
Drugs or alcohol were not believed to have contributed to the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
