3 Injured in Interstate 80 Accident near Webster Interchange in Davis

Davis, California (March 25, 2020) – A traffic crash on the Yolo Causeway east of Davis left three people hospitalized Tuesday night, according to authorities.

Shortly before 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, the California Highway Patrol officers received a report about the accident on Interstate 80, just east of the Webster interchange.

The CHP said a Ford and a Nissan collided on eastbound Interstate 80 for an unknown reason. Moments later, a Mazda heading eastbound in the no. 2 lane slammed into the Ford.

A 27-year-old Davis man, who was the driver of the Mazda, was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.

Two other victims, who were in the Ford, were also taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident. The Woodland CHP office asked anyone who witnessed the crash to call them at 530-662-4685.
