73-Year-Old Bashir Albadawi Killed in Valencia Car Crash at Newhall Ranch and West Rye Canyon Roads
Valencia, California (January 11, 2020) – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office has identified the Frazier Park driver who was killed in a traffic collision on Thursday afternoon in Valencia as 73-year-old Bashir Albadawi.
The fatal two-vehicle crash happened at around 3:30 p.m. January 9, at the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and West Rye Canyon Road.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a car driven by Albadawi collided with another vehicle at the intersection for unknown reasons.
Albadawi’s vehicle was sent down the roadside embankment upon the impact.
The car reportedly overturned multiple times and acquired heavy damage.
Albadawi was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash resulted in the closure of two westbound lanes on Newhall Ranch Road as officials conducted the investigation.
Meanwhile, the accident remains under investigation.
