Faith Eyler ID’d as Woman Seriously Injured in Lakeport Car Crash on Highway 175 near Mathews Road

Lakeport, California (April 14, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday afternoon car crash that left three people seriously injured in Lakeport.

The crash involved two vehicles, and it was reported at about 3:45 p.m., on April 9, on Highway 175, west of Mathews Road.

The police said a 1997 Honda Civic, driven by Faith Eyler, a resident of Cloverdale, was driving westbound on Highway 175 when, for unknown reasons, it swerved off to the road’s northern edge.

Eyler overcorrected it and the Honda crossed the center double yellow line into the lane of an oncoming 2006 BMW X5 that was traveling eastbound on the highway. The two vehicles eventually collided head-on, according to the police.

Eyler was taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport with significant injuries.

Two other people, Eyler’s passenger and the BMW X5 driver, also sustained major injuries. They were transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital in Lakeport for treatment.

All the victims were wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol or drugs were not a contributing factor in the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
