26-Year-Old Man Dies after Redlands Motorcycle Accident on Orange Street near Santa Ana River Wash

Redlands, California (April 14, 2020) – A 26-year-old male rider was killed in a motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon in Redlands, police said.

The fatal mishap transpired on Orange Street near the Santa Ana River wash, just before 5 p.m. April 11.

A 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle, driven by the 26-year-old man, was traveling southbound on the roadway when it swerved across the double yellow lines in an attempt to pass a car and collided with an oncoming vehicle.

The motorcyclist then crashed into the car that he was trying to pass, according to the police.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not disclosed.

The driver of the oncoming vehicle was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

Orange Street was closed for several hours due to the crash.

An investigation into the crash is underway.

“Far too many motorcycle collisions are caused by the carelessness or recklessness of other motorists. Sadly, when this occurs, motorcyclists are the ones who tend to suffer the vast majority of injuries”, according to Arin Khodaverdian, Managing Partner and CEO Alpine Law Group. Under California’s rule of comparative negligence, a victim may be able to collect compensation for injuries and other damages even if you were partly at fault for the accident.

Mr. Khodaverdian has worked for many years as a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. He and his team of attorneys has helped thousands of injury victims and their families recover over $100 million in compensation. “In one case, we recovered a 7-figure settlement within 11 business days of being hired by the family of a victim who was killed by a negligent driver.”

Swift action by an experienced attorney helps preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and begin to pursue those responsible for the incident.
