Driver Dies Following Car Crash at White Road and Gion Avenue in San Jose
Male Driver Killed in San Jose Car Accident at White Road and Gion Avenue
San Jose, California (April 14, 2020) – Police are investigating the cause of a traffic collision that killed a driver Monday afternoon in the Alum Rock neighborhood in San Jose.
At about 4:20 p.m. Monday, April 13, officers received a report about the accident in the area of North White Road and Gion Avenue.
According to the police, a green 2002 Volkswagen Passat was heading southbound in the northbound lane of White Road when it struck a black 2017 Nissan Rogue that was turning left from southbound White Road onto Gion Avenue.
As a result of the collision, the Volkswagen overturned and crashed into several unoccupied parked vehicles.
The sole occupant and driver of the Volkswagen was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Nissan stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
