One Person Killed in Bakersfield Car Accident on Highway 178 near Yankee Canyon Drive
Bakersfield, California (May 11, 2020) – A two-vehicle crash has claimed the life of one person Monday afternoon in Bakersfield, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place at around 2:53 p.m. on Highway 178 near Yankee Canyon.
A tan pickup and a Ford Taurus collided for undetermined reasons on the highway, the CHP said.
At least one person was killed in the crash.
No other injuries were immediately reported in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
