Jeri Kennedy Killed in Little Rock Pedestrian Accident on Pearblossom Highway

Littlerock, California (January 26, 2020) – The coroner’s office has identified the woman who died Thursday night after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Little Rock as Jeri Kennedy, 65, of Little Rock.

The fatal pedestrian took place at around 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23 in the 7600 block of Pearblossom Highway.

Authorities said a vehicle was heading westbound on Pearblossom Highway when for an unknown reason, it drifted to the right shoulder of the road and hit Kennedy, who was walking a friend’s dog westbound.

Kennedy died at the scene.

The driver involved, identified as Alfredo Rodriguez, 62, of Palmdale, fled the scene. He was involved in a second collision in the area of Avenue S at 25th Street East in Palmdale.

Seven people were injured as a result of  the second crash. Four patients, including Rodriguez, sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital while two others were transported to a hospital with major injuries. One other person had minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
