Nicole Dobbins Dies Following Fatal Yucca Valley Motorcycle Accident at Twentynine Palms Highway and Prescott Avenue

Yucca Valley, California (January 26, 2020) – Nicole Dobbins, 33, of Yucca Valley, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died following a traffic accident that happened Wednesday night in Yucca Valley.

The fatal crash took place at about 11:16 p.m. Wednesday, January 15 at the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Prescott Avenue.

According to officials, Rocio Diaz, 52, of Yucca Valley, was driving a moving truck eastbound on Twentynine Palms Highway when he attempted to turn left onto Prescott Avenue and collided with a westbound Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Dobbins.

Dobbins sustained major injuries and was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at about 12:26 a.m. Thursday, January 16.

Diaz remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Police said neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
