Becki Teague Critically Hurt in Temecula Crash on Highway 79
Temecula, California (January 4, 2020) – Authorities have identified one of the two persons injured in a fiery collision early Friday morning in Temecula as 59-year-old Becki Teague of Aguanga.
The collision occurred on Highway 79 near Anza Road at about 12:25 a.m. Friday, January 3.
As per the CHP officials, 50-year-old Mateo Monica of San Diego was heading eastbound on Highway 79 and was trying to pass a slower car when it crossed over the double yellow lines and crashed head-on into a westbound 2004 Kia Rio operated by 59-year-old Becki Teague of Aguanga.
As a result of the collision, the Mitsubishi caught fire.
Pollete, a Kia front seat passenger, was declared dead at the scene.
Teague sustained major injuries and was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar where she was listed in a critical condition. Monica also suffered severe injuries and was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment.
An investigation is underway.
