Anthony Choza Struck and Killed by Vehicle at Hughes and Weber Avenues in Fresno
Fresno, California (March 19, 2020) – 32-year-old Anthony Choza, of Fresno, has been identified as the victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Fresno, the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner reported.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, Choza was hit by a white pickup truck at Hughes and Weber avenues approximately 3:40 a.m.
The pickup operator reportedly stopped after the wreck and called the police for help.
Choza sustained major injuries following the mishap. Despite life-saving measures from medical personnel, Choza died at the scene.
The collision resulted in the closure of Hughes Avenue as the investigation and cleanup took place.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
