63-Year-Old Man Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 371 near Wilson Valley Road in Aguanga 

Fatal Aguanga Crash on state Route 371 near Wilson Valley Road

Aguanga, California (January 3, 2020) – One person was killed in a traffic collision on Friday morning in Aguanga, police said.

The deadly crash occurred at around 6:15 a.m. January 3, on state Route 371 near Wilson Valley Road.

The California Highway Patrol said a 2011 Nissan Versa slammed into the back of a 1986 Toyota pickup while both vehicles were heading north on the highway. The impact of the crash caused the driver of the Nissan to lose control, veer into the oncoming traffic, and collided with a 2001 Mercedes-Benz.

The driver of the Mercedes, 63-year-old Aguanga man, was killed in the crash.

Two occupants of the Toyota pickup were injured.

The driver of the Nissan fled the scene of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
